How is the inseam of a pair of jeans or trousers measured?

The inseam of a pair of jeans or trousers is measured from the overlap of the seams at the crotch to the bottom of the hem along the inside seam of the jeans leg. This measurement is essential for extra tall men who are looking for trousers that are long enough.

How do you measure up to the belt?

If you have a tape measure it's very simple: position the tape measure at the level of the pelvis (between the hips, the widest point) and the waist (at the level of the navel). Don't squeeze, don't pull in your stomach.

How do you measure your waistline?

The waistline is measured above the navel, at the lowest point. Don't pull in your belly, and don't squeeze with the tape measure. However, this measurement will be of no use to you for jeans or CUB trousers, because the waistband of the trousers sits on the pelvis, well below the waist.

How do you measure the waistband of jeans or trousers?

Also known as a half waistband flat, this measurement is measured in a straight line (without following the shape of the waistband of the trousers), with the button closed and the trousers flat.

How is the width of the hem of a pair of jeans or trousers measured?

The width of the hem is measured flat.

Where is the half pelvis measured?

It is rare that you have to take such a measurement, but if you want to talk to the CUB stylists about it, it is measured 10 cm below the waist (left picture) as shown in the picture below (right picture).

How is the half thigh measured?

It is rare that you have to take such a measurement, but if you want to talk to the CUB stylists about this measurement, it is taken 2.5 cm below the toe (intersection of inseam seams, left picture) as shown in the picture below (right picture).
